Waypoint
A predefined geographic position used for navigation, identified by latitude/longitude coordinates or a five-letter identifier. GPS receivers navigate from waypoint to waypoint. In flight planning, waypoints define the turning points of a route. They can be based on navaids, intersections, airports, or arbitrary coordinates.
